Eleni Dimitriadis

Costume Designer

Growing up in Sydney, Australia, Eleni always had a wide variety of interests. She was a dancer, particularly enjoying ballet, tap and jazz, played several musical instruments, and practiced speech and drama, debating, and a wide variety of handicrafts.

In early 2024 she quit her corporate tech job and discovered CET, reigniting a lifelong passion for theatre and especially musical theatre, and she was delighted to find that her eclectic set of skills might actually be useful.

Despite having studied acting theory and acting courses at NIDA in Sydney, as well as trying her hand at film and voice acting, Eleni had never had the opportunity to be involved in a full production, and so was thrilled to be part of the Addams family as an ensemble member.

She has also been cosplaying as a hobby since 2010 and has competed internationally in the UK and Sweden, and through this has developed considerable skill with costume, prop making and wig and makeup work. She was very happy to bring this skill to the Addams family, where she took the lead on hair and makeup and helped out with costume design and construction. She will continue to be involved in this capacity in future productions.

With a degree in linguistics and experience in teaching, Eleni is planning to pursue further studies in voice and dialect coaching, and hopes to bring that expertise back to CET in the future. She is also passionate about lyric and text interpretation and is interested in dramaturgy and directing, and is looking forward to learning more about these working with CET.
